We had eagerly anticipated this day for several weeks - the Sewjourn organised by Anam Cara Patchwork in Shepparton.
We gathered at 7.45 am and started off on our two hour trip to Shepparton.
We arrived a little late and were greeted by a brightly decorated hall full of happy chatter and eager sewers who were looking forward to their day.
Gail Pan had set up her lovely display
and Marg Low had her designs beautifully arranged.
The third designer for the day was Barb Smith of Theodora Cleave designs. You can see images of her gorgeous work if you click on the lnk.
We all received a bag full of goodies, including a kitted pattern from each designer.
We were shown samples of what we could achieve.
Some more patterns from our bag and I also managed to buy a couple of extras.
Marg very kindly took time out of her busy day to take a photo with us.
It was a wonderful day - the designers visited every table and chatted and answered all our questions.
The girls from the shop were warm and friendly and made sure that we were well looked after.
They invited all of us back to their shop to see if any of their fabric specials were something that we really needed . Luckily the shop was on our way home so we couldn't be rude and decline the invitation, could we? And of course we all found something that we really had to have!!!!!
It was an enjoyable and inspirational day and we will definitely mark this one on the calendar for next year.
